This is Jeff’s ninth publication, but actually the first book that Jeff ever wrote - when he was just thirteen years old! Some high school students enjoy doodling during dull lessons. Somehow Jeff’s teacher never noticed that his furious pen was scribing – no not the lesson of the day nor even a typical doodle. Bored by algebra, Jeff’s creative mind led him on a delightful dalliance with alliteration.Jeff’s existing published works are varied and include books on legal and financial issues as well as children’s stories translated into five languages, but this original story is destined to be read in English and not be translated into other languages because absolutely every word in the entire storybook begins with the letter T.In one afternoon, young Jeff travelled through a fantastic fantasy story that then lay untouched, unread and scribbled on a slither of notepaper hidden in the back cover of his school exercise book. He’d not shown the story to anyone, but remembered vividly writing it and often recalled the title “Twenty-two thousand tired tummy ticklers”.More than 40 years past. In the interim, Jeff had lived on four continents, when the old school exercise book was next opened. Out fell the rough notes of Jeff’s first attempt at story writing.Friends encouraged Jeff to consider publishing his fist manuscript, and so with little more than a quick retouch and check, the ideas of young thirteen-year-old Jeff were on the computer and ready to tiptoe out into the world.
